* Flat head screwdriver
Steps:
1. Place the gear shift lever in Park (P) position.
2. Remove the plastic shift lever cover.
— Using a flathead screwdriver, pry the cover off from the front edge.
— Carefully lift the cover up and detach it from the console.
3. Press the automatic transmission handle unlock button.
— The button is usually located on the side of the automatic transmission handle.
— Press and hold the button.
4. Pull the automatic transmission handle up and remove it from the shaft.
— While holding the unlock button pressed, pull the automatic transmission handle up and remove it from the gear selector shaft.
Note:
* When removing the automatic transmission handle, be careful not to lose internal parts.
* Installation of the automatic transmission handle is carried out in the reverse order.
* Before operating the car, make sure that the automatic transmission knob is securely fastened to the gear selector shaft.
