Step 1: Turn off the engine and set the car to the parking brake.
Step 2: Slide the shift panel.
Slide the shift panel to the right or left to reveal the release button.
Step 3: Press the unlock button.
Press the unlock button located under the shift panel. This unlocks the gear shift knob.
Step 4: Pull the shift knob up.
Hold the shift knob firmly and pull it up and to the side to remove it.
Additional tips:
* If the unlock button is difficult to press, try moving the shift lever up and down several times until you feel it unlock.
* If the shift knob is stuck, gently rock it from side to side while trying to pull it up.
* To reinstall the shift knob, simply insert it into the slot and press down until it clicks.
