Materials:

* Flat head screwdriver
* Thin metal rod (knitting needle or wire)

Steps:

1. Make sure the car is parked in the parking lot and is in parking mode.

2. Find the automatic transmission handle release button. It is usually found on the front of the handle and has a lock symbol or button.

3. Press and hold the unlock button.

4. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the hole on the underside of the shift knob. Gently move the screwdriver to release the latches.

5. Insert a thin metal rod into the hole opened by the screwdriver. Press the rod to move the automatic transmission control lever to the left and release it.

6. Pull the automatic transmission handle up.

Adviсe:

*If you have difficulty releasing the handle, try rocking it back and forth as you press the release button.
*Do not use excessive force as this may damage the handle or control button.
*If the unlock button does not work, it may need to be replaced.
*If you are unable to remove the shift knob yourself, contact a qualified mechanic.
