Materials:
* Flat head screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Place the handle in the Park position (P).
2. Slide the automatic transmission handle cover back. It is usually located at the top front of the handle.
3. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the hole. The hole is usually located on the side or back of the handle.
4. Press the screwdriver onto the latch. He holds the handle in place. Press carefully as excessive force may damage the retainer.
5. Raise the handle. It should come off easily.
Note:
* If the latch is stuck, try moving the handle back and forth a little while pressing on the latch.
* When reinstalling the knob, align it with the pin on the gear selector and push down until it locks into place.
