Step 1: Start the engine

* Insert the ignition key and turn it to the “ON” position (but do not start the engine).

Step 2: Press the brake pedal

* Press the brake pedal firmly with your left foot.

Step 3: Pull the handbrake lever

* With your right hand, pull the handbrake lever up.

Step 4: Release the Release Button

*Depending on your car model, the handbrake may have a release button. If so, press and hold the button while releasing the lever.

Step 5: Release the handbrake lever

* Slowly lower the handbrake lever down until it is completely released.

Step 6: Take your foot off the brake pedal

* Slowly release the brake pedal. Your car should automatically release the handbrake.

Adviсe:

* Never turn off the engine while the car is on the handbrake. This may cause the wheels to jam.
* Always check that the handbrake is fully released before driving away.
*If you have difficulty releasing the handbrake, consult a mechanic for help.
