Tools:
* Flat blade screwdriver
* Narrow nose pliers
Steps:
1. De-energize the vehicle: Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid electric shock.
2. Locate the solenoids: Locate the solenoids, which are usually located on the transmission housing or valve body.
3. Remove electrical connectors: Disconnect the electrical connectors from the solenoids by pressing the release tabs and pulling the connectors out.
4. Pry the solenoid chips: Use a flat blade screwdriver to carefully pry the solenoid chips. Start at the edge of the chip and carefully lift it up.
5. Pull the chips out: Once the chips are pryed, use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull them completely out of the solenoids.
6. Remove the solenoids: After removing the chips, the solenoids can be removed from the gearbox or valve body.
Adviсe:
* Be careful when prying the chips so as not to damage them or the solenoids.
*If the chips are difficult to remove, use a little lubricant to make the process easier.
* When installing solenoids back, make sure that the chips are correctly installed and securely connected.
