Materials and tools:

* Set of wrenches and sockets
* Installation
* Container for draining transmission fluid
* New transmission fluid filter (if necessary)
* New transmission fluid
* Automatic transmission pan gasket

Steps to remove automatic transmission:

1. Preparation:

* Place the car on a flat surface.
* Put the car on the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Draining transmission fluid:

* Place a pan under the transmission to drain the fluid.
* Loosen the drain plug in the transmission pan using a hex wrench.
* Allow the liquid to drain completely.

3. Disconnecting connectors and hoses:

* Disconnect all electrical connectors and vacuum hoses from the transmission.
* Disconnect the shift cable.
* Disconnect the coolant hoses from the transmission fluid cooler (if equipped).

4. Unscrewing the pallet bolts:

* Loosen the bolts around the perimeter of the transmission pan.
* Remove the pan from the gearbox.

5. Removing the filter:

* Remove the old transmission fluid filter from the pan.
* Install the new filter in its place.

6. Disconnection from the engine:

* Raise the vehicle on stands or a lift.
* Disconnect the left transmission mount.
* Remove the bolts securing the gearbox to the engine.

7. Disconnecting the gearbox and engine:

* Place the mounting bracket between the gearbox and the engine.
* Gently press the joint until the transmission is separated from the engine.

8. Pulling out the gearbox:

* Carefully remove the transmission from the engine compartment.
* Remove the torque converter (if equipped) or flywheel.

Advice:

* When loosening bolts, use a torque wrench to avoid overtightening them.
* Install a new gasket on the transmission pan before assembly.
*Pour new transmission fluid into the gearbox after assembly.
