Tools and materials:

* Socket wrenches and sockets (10-19 mm)
* Flat head screwdriver
* Phillips screwdriver
* Extension for socket wrenches
* Driver or ratchet
* Container for draining transmission fluid
*Additional transmission fluid
* Transmission pan sealant (optional)
* Jack and stands

Procedure:

1. Preparation

* Place the car on a flat and hard surface.
* Raise the front of the vehicle and place it securely on jack stands.
* Drain the transmission fluid from the gearbox into a container.

2. Disconnecting the battery

* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent accidental activation of the starter.

3. Detaching the subframe

* Remove the bolts securing the subframe to the ball joint at the front and to the body at the rear.
* Move the subframe forward slightly to gain access to the gearbox.

4. Disconnection from the gearbox

* Disconnect the electrical connectors from the transmission.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the starter and remove it.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the front wheel drives and carefully remove them from the splined joints.
* Remove the bolts securing the wiring and coolant lines to the transmission.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the torque converter to the crankshaft.

5. Removing the pallet

* Remove the bolts securing the pan to the gearbox.
* Carefully lift the pan and drain the remaining transmission fluid.
*Remove the tray and clean it.
* If desired, replace the pan gasket with a new one and apply sealant.

6. Gearbox installation

* Lift the transmission into place by hand or using a transmission jack.
* Align the transmission with the engine and carefully push it into place.
* Reinstall the torque converter mounting bolts and tighten them.

7. Assembly

* Reinstall wiring and cooling lines.
* Reinstall the front wheel drives and tighten the bolts.
* Reinstall the starter and tighten the bolts.
* Connect the electrical connectors.
* Reinstall the subframe and tighten the bolts.

8. Filling transmission fluid

* Fill with fresh transmission fluid through the dipstick hole.
* The ideal fluid level is achieved when it is between the “minimum” and “maximum” marks on the dipstick.

9. Completion

* Connect the battery.
* Lower the car.
* Check the transmission fluid level and add it if necessary.
* Test drive to ensure that the transmission is functioning properly.
