Required tools:
* Wrench set
* Socket wrench with replaceable heads
* Flat head screwdriver
* Phillips head screwdriver
* Oil filter puller
* Funnel
* Gloves
* Bucket for draining liquid
Steps to remove automatic transmission:
1. Preparing the car
* Turn off the engine and apply the parking brake.
* Raise the front of the car with a jack and secure it with support stands.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Draining the automatic transmission fluid
* Place a bucket under the automatic transmission pan.
* Find the automatic transmission fluid drain plug and unscrew it.
* Drain the automatic transmission fluid into a bucket.
3. Disconnecting electrical connectors
* Disconnect all electrical connectors from the automatic transmission.
* Connectors can be located on the driver’s side or on the passenger’s side.
4. Disconnecting the cooling pipes
* Loosen the clamps on the automatic transmission cooling pipes.
* Disconnect the pipes from the automatic transmission.
* Seal open pipe openings.

7. Disconnecting the automatic transmission from the engine
* Locate the bolts that secure the automatic transmission to the engine.
* Unscrew the bolts using a socket wrench.
* Carefully pull the automatic transmission towards you to separate it from the engine.
8. Cleaning surfaces
* Clean the surfaces of the automatic transmission and engine from gasket residues.
9. Installing a new gasket
* Install a new gasket between the automatic transmission and the engine.
10. Connecting the automatic transmission to the engine
* Gently press the automatic transmission to the engine and align the bolt holes.
* Tighten the bolts by hand and then using a socket wrench.
11. Connecting the cardan drive shaft
* Reinstall the propeller shaft onto the automatic transmission output shaft.
* Tighten the bolts.
12. Connecting engine mounts
* Reinstall the engine mounts and tighten the bolts.
13. Connecting cooling pipes
* Connect the cooling pipes to the automatic transmission.
* Tighten the clamps.
14. Connecting electrical connectors
* Connect all electrical connectors to the automatic transmission.
15. Filling automatic transmission fluid
* Find the automatic transmission filler plug and unscrew it.
* Fill with new automatic transmission fluid.
* The fluid level should be between the “min” and “max” marks on the oil dipstick.
16. Checking the fluid level
* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Shift through all gears and hold each gear for a few seconds.
* Stop the engine and check the fluid level.
17. Tightening bolts
* Tighten any bolts that have been loosened.
18. Battery connection
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
19. Lowering the car
* Lower the car using a jack.
20. Test drive
* Take a short test drive and check the operation of the automatic transmission.
