Materials:
* Wrench set
* Head set
* Torque wrench
* Wheel stands
* Oil collection container
* Clean rags
Instructions:
1. Preparing the car:
* Place the car on a flat surface.
* Apply the parking brake.
* Place stands under the wheels.
2. Draining transmission fluid:
* Locate the drain plug in the automatic transmission oil pan.
* Place under a container to collect oil.
* Carefully remove the drain plug.
* Allow the liquid to drain.
3. Disconnecting the automatic transmission from the engine:
* Find the bolts securing the automatic transmission to the engine.
* Remove the bolts and disconnect the automatic transmission from the engine.
4. Disconnecting the drive shaft:
* Remove the clamps securing the drive shaft boot.
* Remove the drive shaft from the automatic transmission.
*Repeat the process for the other side.
5. Disconnecting electrical wiring:
* Locate the automatic transmission wiring connectors.
* Disconnect them.
6. Disconnecting the cooling pipes:
* Locate the cooling pipes going to the automatic transmission.
* Remove the clamps and disconnect the tubes.
7. Disconnecting other components:
* Disconnect the automatic transmission control cable.
*Remove starter if necessary.
* Remove the rear engine mount.
8. Removing the automatic transmission:
* Place a jack under the automatic transmission and lift it.
* Unscrew the remaining bolts securing the automatic transmission to the car body.
* Carefully slide the automatic transmission back and lower it.
9. Installation of a new automatic transmission:
* Install the new automatic transmission in place.
* Tighten the bolts securing the automatic transmission to the car body.
* Reconnect any disconnected components.
10. Filling transmission fluid:
* Fill the automatic transmission with the recommended transmission fluid.
*Use a funnel and pour in liquid until it comes out of the filler hole.
* Insert the filler plug and tighten it with a torque wrench to the specified torque.
11. Starting the car and checking the new automatic transmission:
* Start the car and let it idle.
* Shift gears and make sure the automatic transmission is working properly.
