Materials:

* 10 mm wrench
* 17mm wrench
* 19mm wrench
* Pliers
* Container for draining coolant (an old canister or bucket will do)
* New coolant (use the type recommended for your car model)
* Funnel
* Rags

Steps:

1. Ensure safety. Stop the engine and let it cool for a few hours or overnight. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent a short circuit.

2. Drain the coolant. Place a container for drainage under the bottom of the car under the radiator. Locate the drain valve on the radiator and turn it to open. Allow the coolant to drain completely.

3. Disconnect the radiator hoses. Use pliers to tighten the clamps on the radiator hoses. Slide the clamps and disconnect the hoses from the radiator pipes.

4. Unscrew the radiator mounting bolts. Locate the bolts that secure the radiator to the car frame. Use 19mm and 17mm wrenches to remove these bolts.

5. Remove the radiator. Carefully lift the radiator and pull it out of the engine compartment.

Installing a new radiator:

1. Install a new radiator. Insert the new radiator into place, aligning it with the mounting bolts.

2. Tighten the bolts. Tighten the radiator mounting bolts using a 19mm wrench.

3. Connect the radiator hoses. Place the radiator hoses onto the pipes and secure them with clamps. Tighten the clamps using pliers.

4. Fill with coolant. Using a funnel, pour fresh coolant into the radiator and expansion tank. Fill them to the recommended level.

5. Check for leaks. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for coolant leaks. If necessary, tighten hoses or bolts.

6. Bleed the cooling system. Remove the expansion tank cap and press on the radiator hoses to expel any air bubbles from the system. Add coolant if necessary.

7. Connect the battery. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Adviсe:

*Before disconnecting the hoses, mark them so you know in what order to connect them.
*Use a new O-ring for the radiator drain valve to prevent leaks.
* Do not overtighten clamps as this may damage the hoses.
*Refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual for specific instructions for your model.
