Tools and materials:

* Tool set (keys, socket wrenches, screwdrivers)
* New automatic transmission crankcase gasket
* Transmission fluid
* Container for draining liquid
* Jack and stands

Steps:

1. Preparation

* Stop the engine and let it cool.
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.
* Raise the front of the car using a jack and install stands.

2. Draining liquid

* Find the drain plug on the automatic transmission housing and place a container under it.
* Loosen the plug and drain the liquid.
* Remove the old drain plug gasket and replace it with a new one.
* Tighten the drain plug.

3. Disconnecting connectors and cables

* Locate and disconnect electrical connectors and cables connected to the automatic transmission.
* Disconnect the shift cables and shift lever.

4. Disconnecting pipelines

* Loosen the clamps and disconnect the pipelines from the automatic transmission cooling radiator and automatic transmission crankcase.
* Seal open tube openings to prevent fluid from escaping.

5. Disconnecting the cardan

* Find and mark the position of the propeller shaft flanges on the automatic transmission shaft and rear gearbox.
* Remove the four bolts connecting the propeller shaft flange to the automatic transmission shaft.
* Remove the driveshaft from the automatic transmission.

6. Removing the automatic transmission

* Find and loosen the bolts connecting the automatic transmission to the engine.
* Install the transmission jack under the automatic transmission.
* Raise the automatic transmission using a jack to remove the load from the connecting bolts.
* Completely remove the bolts and carefully remove the automatic transmission from the engine.

7. Installation of a new automatic transmission

* Install the new automatic transmission onto the engine, aligning the seating surfaces.
* Screw in and tighten the connecting bolts.
* Install the propeller shaft and tighten the bolts.
* Connect the pipelines to the cooling radiator and automatic transmission housing and tighten the clamps.

8. Connecting connectors, cables and gear lever

* Connect the electrical connectors, cables and shift cables.
* Reinstall the gear shift lever.

9. Filling liquid

* Locate the filler plug on the automatic transmission housing.
* Remove the dipstick and add transmission fluid through the fill plug using a funnel.
* Check the fluid level by inserting the dipstick. The level should be between the “cold” and “hot” marks.
* Install the filler plug and dipstick.

10. Final assembly

* Lower the car from the jack and remove the stands.
* Start the engine and check how the automatic transmission works.
* Check for leaks and tighten connections if necessary.
