Required tools and materials:

* Set of wrenches
* Set of heads with removable drive
* Socket wrenches
* Torque wrench
*Two racks for lift or lift
* Flat head screwdriver
* Oil drain container
* Funnel
* New automatic transmission pan gasket
* New automatic transmission housing gasket

Instructions:

1. Preparation

* Park the car on a level surface.
* Put the car on the parking brake.
* Disconnect the negative battery cable.
* Allow the engine to cool.

2. Lifting the car

* Place the vehicle on a lift or install lift stands under the front lift points.
* Raise the vehicle to a sufficient height to work underneath.

3. Draining the automatic transmission oil

* Find the automatic transmission pan.
* Place a container to drain the oil under the pan.
* Unscrew the automatic transmission pan bolts with a wrench.
* Drain the automatic transmission oil into a container.

4. Disconnecting electrical connectors

* Locate the electrical connectors connected to the automatic transmission.
* Disconnect the connectors by pressing the latch and pulling the connector.

5. Disconnecting gear selection cables

* Locate the selector cable attached to the side of the automatic transmission.
* Press the lock and remove the cable.
* Repeat this step for the second selector cable.

6. Disconnecting drive shafts

* Locate the drive shafts attached to the automatic transmission.
* Insert a flat-tip screwdriver into the slot of the drive shaft.
* Hold the screwdriver firmly to prevent the drive shaft from turning.
* Unscrew the drive shaft nut with a socket wrench.
* Disconnect the drive shaft by pulling it outward.

7. Disconnecting the automatic transmission mount

* Locate the bolts that secure the automatic transmission to the engine and cross member.
* Unscrew the bolts with a wrench.

8. Removing the automatic transmission

* Support the automatic transmission with a jack or an assistant.
* Carefully separate the automatic transmission from the engine by sliding it backwards.
* Pull the automatic transmission out from under the car.

9. Replacing gaskets

* Remove the old automatic transmission pan gasket.
* Install a new automatic transmission pan gasket.
* Install a new automatic transmission housing gasket, if necessary.

10. Installation of automatic transmission

* Carefully place the automatic transmission into place, aligning it with the engine.
* Move the automatic transmission forward until it stops.
* Tighten the automatic transmission mounting bolts with a torque wrench in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

11. Connection of drive shafts

* Insert the drive shafts into the automatic transmission.
* Tighten the drive shaft nuts with a torque wrench.

12. Connecting gear selection cables

* Connect the gear selection cables to the side of the automatic transmission.
* Make sure the cables are securely fastened.

13. Connecting electrical connectors

* Connect the electrical connectors to the automatic transmission.
* Snap the connectors into place.

14. Filling automatic transmission oil

* Locate the filler plug on the automatic transmission.
* Install a funnel into the filler hole.
* Pour new automatic transmission oil through the funnel until it begins to flow out of the filler hole.
* Install the filler plug.

15. Resetting fault codes

* Connect the negative battery cable.
* Start the car and let it warm up.
*Reset any trouble codes using an OBD2 scanner.

16. Checking the automatic transmission oil level

* Remove the automatic transmission oil level dipstick.
* Wipe the dipstick with a clean cloth.
* Insert the dipstick back into the automatic transmission and remove it.
* The oil level should be between the “Hot” and “Cold” marks on the dipstick.

17. Cleaning the automatic transmission pan

* Remove the automatic transmission pan by unscrewing the bolts.
* Clean the tray of metal shavings and debris.
* Reinstall the pan using a new gasket.

18. Test ride

* Lower the vehicle from the lift.
* Take a short test drive to check the operation of the automatic transmission.
*If you notice any problems, check for proper installation and leaks.
