Tools and materials:

* Set of keys
* Jack
* Car supports
* Gear oil
* New oil pan gasket (if required)
* Transmission sealant (optional)

Steps:

1. Preparation:

* Place the car on a flat surface.
* Install a jack and raise the vehicle to a sufficient height to provide access to the underbody.
* Place stands under the vehicle for added stability.

2. Draining transmission oil:

* Locate the transmission oil pan drain plug.
* Place a container under the plug and unscrew it using a key.
* Drain all transmission oil into a container.

3. Removing components:

* Disconnect the electrical connectors going to the transmission, including the sensors, solenoids and shifter connectors.
* Disconnect the shift cables.
* Disconnect the driveshaft from the transmission flange.
* Disconnect the drive shafts.

4. Removing the oil pan:

* Unscrew the oil pan mounting bolts.
* Carefully separate the oil pan from the transmission housing.
* Clean the oil pan and inspect the gasket. If it is damaged or worn, replace it with a new one.

5. Disconnecting the gearbox:

* Locate the bolts securing the transmission housing to the engine.
* Loosen the bolts, but do not remove them completely.
* The transmission support bracket must be detached from the chassis.
* Place a hydraulic jack under the gearbox.

6. Removing the gearbox:

* Slowly lower the hydraulic jack and carefully separate the transmission from the engine.
* Pull the transmission completely out from under the vehicle.

Adviсe:

* Drain transmission oil while hot for better fluidity.
*Using transmission sealant on the oil pan gasket can provide additional sealing.
* Make sure all components are securely fastened after reinstallation.
* Fill with new transmission oil according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
*Take a test drive to check that the transmission is operating correctly.
