The automatic transmission automatically regulates the speed of the car, so there is no need to manually adjust it yourself. The vehicle will accelerate and decelerate according to the throttle pedal position and road conditions.

However, some automatic transmissions have the following modes that can affect the behavior of the car:

* Drive (D): Standard mode in which the transmission shifts gears for optimal fuel economy and performance.
* Sport (S): A mode that provides more aggressive shifting, resulting in faster acceleration.
* Eco (E): A mode designed to maximize fuel economy, which may include earlier gear changes and smoother acceleration.
* Manual (M): A mode that allows the driver to manually change gears. It is typically used in situations where more control of the vehicle is required, such as towing or driving in mountainous terrain.

To switch between these modes, use the gear lever.
