Tools and materials:

* Hose for pumping out liquid (transparent)
* Funnel
* Container for collecting used oil
* Reservoir with new automatic transmission fluid
* Drain plug key (optional)

Procedure:

1. Warm up the engine and gearbox:

* Start the engine and let it idle for 10-15 minutes. This will help thin the oil and make pumping more efficient.

2. Open the hood:

* Open the hood and find the automatic transmission dipstick. Remove the dipstick and check the fluid level.

3. Determine the location for pumping:

* Usually the oil is pumped out through the automatic transmission dipstick tube. However, some models have a separate suction port, which may be located under the hood or underneath the vehicle. Check your vehicle’s owner’s manual for the exact location.

4. Connect the pumping hose:

* Attach one end of the suction hose to the funnel and insert the other end into the dipstick tube or suction port.

5. Start pumping:

* Take a funnel and attach a vacuum cleaner or air compressor set to suction to it. Start suction to remove excess oil.

6. Monitor the fluid level:

* Continue to pump out the oil, periodically checking the fluid level on the automatic transmission dipstick. Stop when the fluid level reaches the correct level.

7. Add new fluid:

* Once the excess oil has been pumped out, add new automatic transmission fluid through the dipstick tube or fill port. Add the required amount of fluid specified in the instruction manual.

8. Check the fluid level:

* Check the fluid level on the automatic transmission dipstick. Make sure the level is within the recommended range.

9. Close the hood and clean the work area:

* Close the hood and clean out used tools and materials. Dispose of used oil in accordance with local regulations.

Adviсe:

* Use a new bleeder hose to avoid contaminating the new automatic transmission fluid.
* Pump out the oil slowly and carefully so as not to damage the automatic transmission system.
* If the fluid level in the automatic transmission was significantly higher than recommended, you may need to contact a car service to check the condition of the transmission.
