Tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission oil seal
* Flat head screwdriver
* Hammer or rubber mallet
* Solvent or cleaner
* Lubricant for oil seal

Instructions:

1. Prepare the automatic transmission:
* Remove the automatic transmission from the vehicle or disassemble it in the work area.
* Clean the oil seal installation area of ​​old oil seal, gaskets and sealant using solvent or cleaner.

2. Install a new oil seal:
* Apply a little grease to the lip of the new oil seal.
* Insert the oil seal into the hole provided for it. Make sure the seal is oriented correctly and the lip is in the direction of shaft rotation.
* Gently tap the seal into place using a hammer or rubber mallet. Strike evenly around the entire circumference of the seal until it is flush with the surface.

3. Install gasket or sealant (if required):
* Some automatic transmission designs may require a gasket or sealant to seal the connection between the oil seal and the automatic transmission. Install gasket or apply sealant according to manufacturer’s directions.

4. Assemble the automatic transmission:
* Tighten all bolts and nuts holding the automatic transmission in place.
* Connect all electrical and hydraulic connections.
* Fill the automatic transmission with transmission fluid.

5. Check for leaks:
* Start the engine and let it run in neutral for a few minutes.
* Check for transmission fluid leaks around the oil seal area.
* If a leak is detected, tighten the bolts or nuts holding the transmission in place, or apply additional sealant.

Adviсe:

* Use a high quality oil seal recommended by the automatic transmission manufacturer.
*Be sure to lubricate the oil seal lip before installation.
* Install the oil seal by hand before hammering it in to avoid damage.
* Make sure the oil seal is properly oriented and that the lip is facing the correct direction.
* It is enough to hammer the oil seal flush with the surface, do not overdo it.
