Materials:
* New oil pump
*Oil pump gasket
* Torque wrench set
* Sealant for gaskets
* Rags
Steps:
1. Removing the old oil pump:
* Remove the automatic transmission pan.
* Locate the oil pump and disconnect the pipes and electrical connectors from it.
* Unscrew the oil pump mounting bolts.
2. Installing the oil pump gasket:
* Apply gasket sealant to both sides of the new oil pump gasket.
* Place the gasket on the automatic transmission housing, lining up the bolt holes.
3. Oil pump installation:
* Install the oil pump on the automatic transmission housing and tighten the mounting bolts.
* Make sure the bolts are tightened to the required torque (see repair manual).
4. Connecting tubes and electrical connectors:
* Connect the pipes to the oil pump.
* Connect the electrical connectors.
* Make sure all connections are secure.
5. Installing the automatic transmission pan:
* Apply gasket sealant to the automatic transmission pan gasket.
* Install the gasket on the automatic transmission pan and tighten the fastening bolts.
* Make sure the bolts are tightened to the required torque (see repair manual).
Adviсe:
* Before installing a new oil pump, flush the automatic transmission with clean transmission oil to remove any contaminants.
* Make sure the oil pump gasket is installed correctly and is tight.
* Tighten the mounting bolts in the correct order and to the correct torque.
* After installation, check the transmission oil level and add if necessary.
