Materials:
* Automatic transmission
* Automatic transmission radiator
* Automatic transmission hoses
* Clamps
* Transmission fluid
* Funnel
Steps:
1. Prepare the automatic transmission: Clean the surfaces of the automatic transmission and radiator where the hoses will be connected. Make sure all ports are clean and undamaged.
2. Install the radiator: Install the automatic transmission radiator in its place and secure it. Make sure the radiator is positioned so that the hoses can be easily connected.
3. Connect the hoses: Connect the two automatic transmission hoses to the corresponding ports on the radiator. One hose usually goes from the “Input” connector on the radiator to the coolant outlet connector on the automatic transmission. Another hose goes from the coolant inlet connector on the automatic transmission to the “Output” connector on the radiator.
4. Tighten the clamps: Tighten the clamps on both hoses securely to prevent leaks. Make sure the clamps are not pinched, as this may impede coolant flow.
5. Fill with transmission fluid: Using a funnel, fill the automatic transmission and radiator with transmission fluid. Check the fluid level with the dipstick and add as necessary.
6. Run the engine at idle speed: Warm up the engine with the transmission running at idle speed for several minutes. This will help remove air from the cooling system and ensure proper coolant flow.
7. Check for Leaks: Check the cooling system for any leaks from the hose connections or from the radiator itself. Repair any leaks found.
Adviсe:
* Use hoses and clamps designed for automatic transmissions.
* Maintain proper torque when tightening clamps.
* Flush the automatic transmission radiator every 30,000–50,000 km to prevent clogging.
* Regularly check the automatic transmission fluid level and add it if necessary.
