Step by step instructions:
1. Prepare the car
* Place the car on a flat surface.
* Engage the parking brake.
2. Loosen the adjusting nut
* Locate the adjusting nut on the automatic transmission cable. It is located near the gear shift lever.
*Loosen the nut using a 14mm wrench.
3. Loosen the locknut
* Locate the locknut on the automatic transmission cable. It is located next to the adjusting nut.
*Loosen the locknut using a 10mm wrench.
4. Adjust the cable
* Insert a 5 mm hex key into the adjusting bolt on the automatic transmission cable.
* Turn the adjusting bolt to adjust the cable tension.
* With the correct tension, the cable should move freely in both directions, but should not have any slack.
5. Tighten the locknut
* While holding the adjusting bolt in position, tighten the locknut using a 10mm wrench.
6. Tighten the adjusting nut
*Tighten the adjusting nut using a 14mm wrench.
7. Check adjustment
* Shift the gear lever to each position and make sure that the gears shift smoothly and without slipping.
*If necessary, repeat steps 2 to 6 for further adjustments.
