Materials:

* Wrench or socket wrench
* Extension cable (if necessary)
* Pliers

Instructions:

1. Find the kickdown cable. It is usually connected to the throttle body or gas pedal and to the transmission.
2. Loosen the clamp bolt. This bolt is located on the cable where it attaches to the throttle body.
3. Adjust the position of the cable. Move the cable to the desired position. Below are recommendations:

*Wide Open Throttle (WOT): With the accelerator pedal fully depressed, the kickdown cable should be pulled all the way, causing the transmission to downshift.
*Partial throttle: With the accelerator pedal partially depressed, the kickdown cable should be slightly taut, causing a slight downshift.
*Closing the throttle: When the accelerator pedal is released, the kickdown cable should be completely released, allowing the transmission to shift into a higher gear.

4. Tighten the clamp bolt. Using a wrench or socket, tighten the bolt to secure the cable in position.
5. Check the operation. Start the engine and check for smooth gear shifting. Drive the car to make sure the transmission shifts at the correct points.
6. Adjust if necessary. If gear shifting does not occur correctly, repeat steps 2-5 until the desired shift is achieved.

Adviсe:

*If the kickdown cable is too long, you may need to install an extension cable.
* Be sure to check the cable operation after any adjustments to ensure proper operation.
*If you are unsure of the correct adjustment, seek assistance from a professional mechanic.
