Step 1: Check the automatic transmission fluid level

* Leave the engine idling and move the gear shift lever to the Park (P) position.
* Remove the automatic transmission oil dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.
* Insert the dipstick back and pull it out again.
* The fluid level should be between the “hot” and “cold” marks on the dipstick.

Step 2: Reset Adaptive Values

* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 10 minutes.
* Reconnect the terminal and start the engine.
* Allow the engine to warm up to operating temperature.
* Shift all gears (P, R, N, D, 2, 1) and return to P position.

Step 3: Check shift cables and accelerator pedal position

* Make sure the shift cables are properly adjusted and not stretched.
* Check whether the gas pedal position is adjusted correctly.

Step 4: Throttle Position Calibration (on some models)

*Calibrating the throttle may require special tools or a trouble code scanner.
*Refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual for specific instructions.

Step 5: Re-adaptation of the automatic transmission

*After completing the previous steps, the automatic transmission may need to be re-adapted to driving style and environmental conditions.
* Drive the car under normal conditions for 50-100 kilometers. This will allow the automatic transmission to adjust to your driving style and provide smoother gear changes.

Note:

*Always refer to your specific vehicle’s owner’s manual for more specific information and instructions.
*Adjusting the automatic transmission can be a complex procedure. If you are unsure of your abilities, it is recommended that you consult a qualified mechanic.
