Materials:

* Automatic transmission drive oil seal
* New gasket (if necessary)
* Installation sleeve or pipe
* Lubricant (eg bearing grease)

Tools:

*Socket wrench or socket wrench of appropriate size
* Hammer
* Pliers (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the surface:
– Clean the seating surface on the gearbox housing and on the drive itself.
– Apply a small amount of lubricant to the inner surface of the oil seal.

2. Place the oil seal:
– Take the installation sleeve or pipe and insert it into the oil seal, covering the metal part.
– Align the oil seal with the seating surface on the gearbox housing.

3. Press in the oil seal:
– Gently tap the bushing or pipe with a hammer until the seal is seated.
– Avoid hitting the metal part of the seal itself.

4. Remove the bushing:
– Once the seal is pressed in, carefully remove the sleeve or pipe.

5. Install the gasket (if necessary):
– If there is a gasket between the gearbox housing and the drive, install a new gasket.

6. Tighten the drive:
– Insert the drive into the gearbox housing and tighten the bolts or nuts with a socket wrench or socket wrench to the specified torque.

7. Check the tightness:
– Check the oil seal for leaks by starting the engine and inspecting the area around the oil seal for leaks.

Adviсe:

* Use the correct size of installation sleeve or pipe to avoid damage to the seal.
* Hit the bushing or pipe evenly and moderately.
*If access to the correct tool is limited, you can use pliers to carefully tighten the seal into place.
