Converting an automatic transmission to a manual transmission is a complex and time-consuming process that is not recommended to be attempted on your own without the proper knowledge and equipment. 3. Remove the automatic transmission: To do this, disconnect the driveshaft shaft, drive shafts, hydraulic lines, electrical connectors and mounting bolts.
4. Install Manual Transmission: Install the manual transmission, flywheel, clutch and associated components according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Install the clutch pedal and clutch cylinder: Install the clutch pedal, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder and lines according to the instructions.
6. Connect Drive Shafts and Driveshaft: Connect the drive shafts and driveshaft to the new manual transmission.
7. Fill with transmission oil: Fill with transmission oil according to the recommended volume and type.
