Steps:
1. Preparing the car
* Raise the car on a lift or place it on jacks.
* Drain the oil from the manual transmission.
* Disconnect the battery.
2. Removing the manual transmission
* Disconnect the driveshaft from the gearbox.
* Disconnect the shift cables and clutch cables.
* Disconnect all electrical connectors from the manual transmission.
* Use a puller to separate the manual transmission from the engine.
3. Automatic transmission installation
* Install the torque converter on the crankshaft.
* Apply sealant to the connecting surface and install the automatic transmission in place of the manual transmission.
* Tighten all mounting bolts.
4. Installation of related components
* Install the automatic transmission oil pan.
* Install the automatic transmission oil pump.
* Install the driveshaft.
5. Electrical connection
* Connect all electrical connectors to the automatic transmission.
* Install the automatic transmission ECU.
*Connect TPS and car speed sensor.
* Lay out the automatic transmission wiring.
6. Oil filling
* Fill the automatic transmission with transmission fluid (ATF).
* Check ATF level and add if necessary.
7. Starting the engine
* Connect the battery.
* Set the gear shift lever to “P” position.
* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Shift the transmission through all gears and return to the “P” position.
8. Run-in
* Drive the car at low speed for several days.
* This will allow the automatic transmission to break in and adapt to your driving style.
