Required materials:

* Automatic transmission flush solvent (ATF)
* Bucket or container for draining
*Clean rags or paper towels
* Gloves

Instructions:

1. Remove the transmission cooler: Refer to your vehicle’s service manual for specific instructions on removing the transmission cooler. This usually involves disconnecting the transmission fluid hoses, removing fasteners, and carefully removing the radiator.

2. Check the overflow lines: Before flushing the radiator, check the overflow lines on the side of the radiator. If there is dirt or deposits on the lines, gently clean them with a clean rag or paper towels.

3. Fill the radiator with solvent: Pour a small amount of ATF flush solvent into the radiator. The amount of solvent you need will depend on the size of the radiator. Follow the instructions on the product label.

4. Cover the holes and shake the radiator: Cover the hose holes to prevent solvent from leaking out. Then shake the radiator vigorously for a few minutes to mix the solvent with the old oil and deposits.

5. Drain the solvent: Invert the radiator over a bucket or container to drain and drain the solvent.

6. Repeat the procedure: Repeat steps 3-5 several more times, using fresh solvent each time. Continue rinsing until the solvent is clear.

7. Rinse with water: After the solvent has been drained, rinse the radiator with clean water. Close the hose holes and shake the radiator vigorously to mix the water with any remaining solvent and sediment.

8. Drain the water: Drain the water and repeat rinsing until the water runs clear.

9. Dry the radiator: Leave the radiator open to dry. You can also use a compressor to blow air through it.

10. Reinstall the radiator: Once the radiator is completely dry, reinstall it on the vehicle following the instructions in your service manual.

Notes:

* Do not use solvents intended for other purposes, such as carburetor cleaners or brake fluids, as they may damage the radiator.
* Observe safety precautions when working with solvent. Wear gloves and safety glasses.
* Dispose of solvent and used oil according to local regulations.
