Required materials:

* Automatic transmission engine oil recommended for Nissan Murano
* Measuring container
* Funnel
* Drain plug wrench
*Clean rag or paper napkins

Steps:

1. Preparation:

* Start the engine and allow it to warm up to operating temperature.
* Turn off the engine and park the car on a level surface.
* Apply the parking brake.

2. Draining old oil:

* Locate the automatic transmission pan under the car.
* Clean the drain plug with a rag or paper towels.
* Place a measuring cup under the stopper.
* Carefully unscrew the drain plug with a wrench.
*Wait until the old oil has completely drained into the container.

3. Replacing the automatic transmission filter (if necessary):

* If necessary, unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan and remove the pan.
* Replace the automatic transmission filter with a new one, then install a new seal pan on the pan.
*Tighten the pan bolts to the recommended torque.

4. Filling with new oil:

* Using a funnel, pour the recommended amount of new automatic transmission oil into the oil filler neck.
* The usual amount of oil to be filled is from 4 to 6 liters.
* Periodically check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick until it reaches the “HOT” mark.

5. Checking the oil level:

* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Switch the automatic transmission mode selector to each position and return to the parking position.
* Stop the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain into the pan.
* Pull out the automatic transmission dipstick, wipe it with a clean cloth and reinsert it.
* Pull out the dipstick and check the oil level. It should be between the “HOT” and “COLD” marks on the dipstick.

6. Adjusting the oil level (if necessary):

* If the oil level is too low, add oil to the oil filler neck in small amounts and check the level after each addition.
* If the oil level is too high, drain the excess oil through the drain plug.

7. Final inspection:

* Reinstall the drain plug and tighten it.
* Clean up any oil spills.
* Check the pan for oil leaks.

Changing the automatic transmission oil should be carried out in accordance with the recommendations of your car manufacturer. Regular oil changes will ensure smooth operation of the automatic transmission and extend its service life.
