Materials and tools:

* ATF SP-IV oil (2.3 liters, Hyundai/Kia Genuine Parts 04500-00125)
* Oil funnel
* New oil pan drain bolt (21513-23001)
* New drain bolt washer (21514-23000)
* 17mm wrench
* Ratchet wrench
* Key extension
* Container for draining used oil (capacity of at least 3 liters)
* Gloves

Procedure for filling the automatic transmission oil Solaris 2018:

1. Preparation

* Park the car on a level surface.
* Set the parking brake.
*Wait until the engine and transmission have cooled down.

2. Draining used oil

* Place a container under the automatic transmission oil pan.
* Unscrew the drain bolt using a 17mm wrench.

Note: Be careful as used oil may be hot.

* Allow the used oil to drain completely.

3. Installing a new drain bolt

*Apply a new washer to the new drain bolt.
* Tighten the drain bolt using a 17mm wrench to the specified torque in the owner’s manual.

4. Filling with new oil

* Insert a funnel into the automatic transmission filler hole located on the side of the transmission.
* Pour 2.3 liters of new ATF SP-IV oil into the automatic transmission.

5. Checking the oil level

* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Shift the gear selector to each position (P, R, N, D, 2, 1) and return to P.
* Check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick. The level should be between the “HOT” and “COLD” marks.

6. Adding oil (if necessary)

* If the oil level is below the HOT mark, add a small amount of oil and check the level again.
* Repeat the process until the level reaches the specified range.

7. Resetting the oil aging counter

*If you have changed more than 1.5 liters of oil, you need to reset the oil aging counter.
*Connect the OBDII scanner to the car.
* Find the “Reset automatic transmission oil aging counter” function in the scanner menu.
* Reset the counter.

Note: The scanner menu layout and functionality may vary depending on the scanner you are using. Refer to your scanner’s user manual for details.
