1. Turn on the ignition key.
2. Press the brake pedal.
3. Move the gear lever to the ‘D’ (Drive) position.
4. Slowly release the brake pedal.
5. If necessary, press the gas pedal to start driving.
Additional tips:
* Always apply the parking brake when the vehicle is stationary.
* Do not try to move away without pressing the brake pedal.
* Do not shift into ‘D’ or ‘R’ until the vehicle has stopped.
* When stopping on an incline, move the gear lever to ‘P’ (Park) and apply the parking brake.
* Avoid sudden acceleration or braking with an automatic transmission.
