Instructions for driving a car with automatic transmission

1. Fit and adjustment:

*Adjust your seat for a comfortable position so you can easily reach the pedals and steering wheel.
*Adjust the side and rear view mirrors for optimal visibility.

2. Starting the engine:

* Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position.
* Press the brake pedal with your left foot.
* Move the gear selector to Park (P).
* Start the engine by turning the key to the “START” position.

3. Pulling off:

* While holding the brake pedal, move the gear selector to the Drive (D) position.
* Slowly release the brake pedal and the car will start moving.
* Gently press the gas pedal with your right foot to increase speed.

4. Gear shift:

* Automatic transmission selects the optimal gear for different driving conditions. Usually the gears change automatically.
*However, some models offer the option of manual gear shifting using steering wheel or gear selector switches.

5. Braking:

* To brake, press the brake pedal with your left foot. Press the pedal hard enough to slow or stop the vehicle.
* When coming to a complete stop, move the gear selector to Park (P).

6. Parking:

* Once parked, move the gear selector to the Park (P) position.
* Put the car on the handbrake.
* Remove the key from the ignition.

Adviсe:

* Do not press the gas pedal and brake pedal at the same time.
* Only move the gear selector when the vehicle is stopped.
* Do not attempt to push or tow an automatic transmission vehicle with the engine running.
* Maintain the transmission regularly by changing the oil and filter according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
