Stages of partial oil change for Hyundai Solaris automatic transmission:

1. Raise the car: Raise the front of the car with a jack or lift, securely fix it on the supports.

2. Clean the area around the oil pan drain plug: Clean the area around the oil pan drain plug with solvent to prevent dirt from entering the transmission.

3. Drain the old oil: Place a container under the drain hole. Carefully loosen the drain plug using a wrench. Drain the old oil into a container.

4. Replace the pan gasket (optional): If the pan gasket is damaged when removing the pan, replace it with a new one. Apply a small amount of oil to the new gasket to ensure a seal.

5. Remove the automatic transmission oil pan (optional): If you decide to replace the automatic transmission filter, you will need to remove the oil pan. Be careful as some oil may remain in the pan.

6. Replace the automatic transmission filter (optional): Find the automatic transmission filter and remove it by turning it counterclockwise. Install the new filter and tighten it by hand.

7. Install the automatic transmission oil pan (optional): Reinstall the oil pan and tighten the bolts using a oil pan puller or by hand. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

8. Fill with new oil: Use a funnel to pour new oil into the automatic transmission through the filler plug. Fill with the amount of oil specified in the vehicle manual.

9. Check the oil level: Start the engine and warm up the gearbox. Check the oil level using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the “HOT” and “COLD” marks on the dipstick.

10. Check the oil level again: Drive the car for several kilometers and then stop on a level surface. Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain into the pan. Check the oil level again using the dipstick.

Note: It is recommended to partially change the automatic transmission oil every 50,000-60,000 km or in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. A complete automatic transmission oil change is usually performed less frequently, for example, every 100,000-150,000 km.
