Materials:

* Phillips screwdriver (usually Phillips)
* Needle nose forceps (optional)

Instructions:

1. Remove the gearshift link:

* Remove the gearshift cover by unscrewing the screws or clips.
*Press the button on the shift knob and pull it up to remove it.

2. Separate the handle and lever:

* Remove the screws that hold the knob to the gear shift lever.
* Carefully separate the handle and lever.

3. Remove the gear shift button (optional):

*If the shift button is removed separately, locate the latches or screws holding it in place.
*Use needle nose pliers or a screwdriver to remove the button.

4. Remove the gear lever nut:

* Locate the nut that holds the shift lever to the selector shaft.
* Unscrew the nut using a wrench or pliers.

5. Remove the gear shift lever:

* Gently pull the shift lever upward to remove it from the selector shaft.

6. Installing a new automatic transmission shift knob (if necessary):

*Reverse the steps to install the new transmission shift knob.
* Make sure all screws and nuts are tight.
* Check the operation of the gear shift knob by moving it to all positions.

* Disconnect the battery before starting work for safety.
*If you are unsure of your skills, consult a qualified mechanic.
*Keep removed parts in a safe place to ensure nothing gets lost.
* Check for worn or damaged parts and replace them as necessary.
