Tools and materials:

* Set of wrenches and ratchet sockets
* Extensions and cardan
* Hammer and punch or spatula
* Flat blade screwdriver
* Pliers
* New automatic transmission oil pan gasket
* New gear oil
* Clean container for draining oil

Precautions:

* Make sure the vehicle is in park and the parking brake is on.
* Let the engine cool for several hours to ensure that the transmission oil is not hot.
* Place a jack and secure supports under the vehicle to ensure stability.

Steps to disassemble the automatic transmission:

1. Drain transmission oil

* Locate the automatic transmission oil pan drain plug.
* Place a container under the drain hole.
* Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil.
* Screw the drain plug back, replacing the gasket.

2. Disconnecting drive shafts

* Remove the wheel from the side where the drive shaft is located.
* Unscrew the wheel hub mounting bolts.
* Slide the drive shaft outward until it comes out of the spline connection with the automatic transmission.

3. Disconnecting electrical connections

* Disconnect all electrical connectors connected to the automatic transmission.

4. Disconnecting the shift cable

* Locate the shift cable connected to the shift lever on the automatic transmission.
* Disconnect the cable from the lever.

5. Disconnecting the cooling system pipes

* Disconnect any cooling system lines connected to the automatic transmission radiator.

6. Unscrewing the fastening bolts

* Locate the bolts that secure the automatic transmission to the engine and chassis of the vehicle.
*Unscrew these bolts using a wrench or socket.

7. Removing the automatic transmission

* Tap the automatic transmission with a hammer and a punch or pry bar to separate it from the engine.
* Carefully lower the automatic transmission to the ground.

8. Disassembling the automatic transmission

* Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission oil pan.
* Remove the oil pan and drain the remaining oil.
* Remove the oil filter from the automatic transmission.
* Loosen the bolts securing the automatic transmission housing cover.
* Remove the housing cover and gain access to the internal components of the automatic transmission.

Adviсe:

*Before disassembling, please take photographs or a diagram of the components to facilitate subsequent assembly.
* Be careful when removing bolts as some may be highly torqued.
* Use a new automatic transmission oil pan gasket when installing.
* Refill with transmission oil of the same type and quantity that was drained.
* Check the oil level after installing the automatic transmission and add if necessary.
