Required tools:
* Wrench set
* Screwdrivers
* Rags or paper towels
* Oil drain container
* Protective gloves
* Bucket or basin
Step by step instructions:
1. Remove the torque converter from the automatic transmission.
* Disconnect the driveshaft from the torque converter flange.
* Remove the bolts securing the torque converter to the transmission.
* Carefully remove the torque converter.
2. Drain the oil from the torque converter.
* Place the torque converter in a container to drain the oil.
* Turn the torque converter over and drain the oil.
3. Disassemble the torque converter housing.
* Remove the nut on the torque converter rear cover.
*Remove the back cover.
* Carefully remove the slip clutches, plate pack and hub.
4. Inspect and clean components.
* Inspect all components for wear, damage or contamination.
* Clean all components with rags or paper towels.
5. Assemble the torque converter.
* Reinstall the hub.
* Install the plate pack over the hub.
* Reinstall the slip clutches.
* Install the back cover and tighten the nut.
6. Reinstall the torque converter.
* Install the torque converter to the gearbox.
* Tighten the torque converter bolts.
* Connect the propeller shaft to the torque converter flange.
7. Fill the torque converter with oil.
* Using a funnel, fill the torque converter with the recommended amount of oil.
8. Check the oil level.
* Check the oil level by placing the dipstick in the oil fill hole.
* The oil level should be between the «min» and «max» marks on the dipstick.

* Use clean rags or paper towels for cleaning to prevent dirt from getting into the torque converter.
*Tighten all fasteners to the recommended torques.
* Check the torque converter for external damage or leaks before installation.
