Required tools:

* Dipstick for checking the automatic transmission fluid level
* Gloves (optional)

Step by step instructions:

1. Prepare the car.

* Place the car on a flat surface.
* Turn off the engine and allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes.

2. Determine the location of the automatic transmission dipstick.

* Typically, the automatic transmission dipstick is located on the side or rear of the transmission, indicated by a loop or knob.

3. Remove and inspect the dipstick.

* Pull out the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.
* Inspect the dipstick for burns, metal particles or other signs of wear.

4. Check the fluid level.

*Insert the dipstick back into the transmission and pull it out completely.
* Inspect the fluid level on the dipstick. There are usually two marks: “Cold” and “Hot”.

5. Draw a conclusion about the liquid level:

*Low Level: If the fluid level is below the Cold or Hot mark, the transmission needs to add fluid.
* Ideal level: The fluid level should be between the “Cold” and “Hot” marks.
*High Level: If the fluid level is above the “Hot” mark, there may be too much fluid added to the transmission, requiring it to be removed.

6. If necessary, add fluid.

*If the fluid level is low, add manufacturer-approved transmission fluid through a funnel or syringe.
* Add fluid in small portions, checking the level on the dipstick after each addition.

7. Check the fluid level after the trip.

* After driving the car a few kilometers, check the automatic transmission fluid level again to make sure it is at the optimal level.

Important Notes:

* Use only automatic transmission fluid approved by the manufacturer.
* Do not overfill fluid as this may damage the transmission.
*If the fluid level drops significantly, it may indicate a leak or other transmission problem.
