Materials:
* Trailer
* Trailer wiring
* Connection cable
* Electrical tape
*Pliers or wrench
Steps:
1. Install an electrical outlet on the trailer. Follow the socket manufacturer’s instructions for installing it on the tongue or rear of the trailer.
2. Route the electrical wiring to the outlet. Route the wires through the frame of the trailer and plug them into the outlet according to the color scheme (see below).
3. Connect the trailer wiring to the connecting cable. Connect the wires on the trailer socket to the corresponding wires on the jumper cable using twist ties and electrical tape.
4. Connect the connecting cable to the vehicle’s electrical outlet. Locate the electrical outlet on the rear bumper or in the trunk of the car and connect the jumper cable to it.
5. Check the electrical system. Turn on the parking lights, brake lights, turn signals, and brake lights on your trailer to make sure they are working properly.
Wiring color scheme:
*Red: Brake lights
*Yellow: Turn signals (right)
*Green: Turn signals (left)
*Brown: Side lights
*White: Earth
