Materials:

* Electrical contact cleaner

Instructions:

1. Find the automatic transmission selector sensor:

* It is usually located on the underside of the gear selector.
* This is a small black or gray block with a few wires connected to it.

2. Disconnect the battery:

* This must be done to prevent short circuit or damage to the sensor.
*Locate the negative battery terminal and remove it.

3. Clean the sensor surface:

*Apply a small amount of electrical contact cleaner to a cotton swab or lint-free cloth.

4. Clean the sensor contacts:

* Apply a small amount of electrical contact cleaner to a cotton swab and gently wipe each contact.

5. Lubricate the contacts:

* Apply a small amount of electrical contact lubricant to all contacts.
