Materials:

* New gear oil
* New oil filter (if possible)
* Oil pan gasket (if removable)
* Funnel
* Bucket for old oil
* Wrenches and screwdriver

Steps:

1. Make sure there is antifreeze in the gearbox. Check the transmission oil dipstick and inspect it for signs of water (milky or pink).
2. Remove the transmission pan. Find the drain plug at the bottom of the pan and unscrew it. Wait until all the old oil has drained out. Replace the pan seal if it is removable.
3. Remove the oil filter. Locate the oil filter and unscrew it by hand or with a wrench. Remove the old filter and replace it with a new one.
4. Assemble the transmission pan and tighten the bolts. Reinstall the transmission pan and tighten the bolts in the order specified in the repair manual.
5. Fill the gearbox with new gear oil. Use a funnel to pour new transmission oil into the transmission. Fill it up to the «Full» mark on the dipstick.
6. Start the engine and change gears. Start the engine and shift gears forward and reverse. This will help circulate new oil through the system.
7. Check the oil level. Wait a few minutes for the oil to drain and then check the oil level on the dipstick. Add more oil as needed.

Note:

*When flushing a transmission for antifreeze, it may be necessary to perform the procedure several times to remove all traces of antifreeze.
*If antifreeze gets into the transmission, it is important to flush it as soon as possible to prevent damage to components.
*If you are not confident in flushing transmission antifreeze, consult a professional mechanic.
