Materials:

* White spirit
* Isopropyl alcohol
*Clean cloth or paper towels
* Plastic scraper (optional)

Steps:

1. Wear protective gloves and glasses: White spirit and isopropyl alcohol are flammable and may cause skin irritation.

2. Test the solvent in an inconspicuous place: Apply a small amount of white spirit or isopropyl alcohol to an inconspicuous part of the automatic transmission pan. Check to see if the solvent is damaging the material.

3. Apply solvent to the caulk: Apply mineral spirits or isopropyl alcohol to a cotton swab or clean cloth and press it onto the caulk. Allow the solvent to penetrate and soften the sealant for a few minutes.

4. Remove the softened sealant: Carefully remove the softened sealant with a scraper or clean cloth. Do not use too much force to avoid damaging the automatic transmission pan.

5. Repeat steps: Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all sealant has been removed.

6. Clean the automatic transmission pan: After removing the sealant, wipe the automatic transmission pan with a clean cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol. This will help remove any remaining traces of solvent.

Adviсe:

* Use a plastic scraper to avoid scratching the metal surface of the automatic transmission pan.
*If the sealant is very old or thick, it may take longer to soften.
* Clean the transmission pan thoroughly to remove all traces of solvent.
* Dispose of used solvents and other materials according to local regulations.
