Materials:
* Sealant solvent (e.g. white spirit, isopropyl alcohol, acetone)
*Clean rags or paper towels
* Plastic scraper or spatula
* Protective gloves
* Degreaser (eg brake degreaser)
Instructions:
1. Provide ventilation: Open windows or work outdoors as solvent may produce fumes.
2. Wear protective gloves: Sealants can irritate the skin.
3. Apply Solvent: Dampen a clean rag or paper towel with solvent and apply it to the sealant.
4. Wait a few minutes: Give the solvent time to penetrate the sealant and soften it.
5. Wipe off the sealant: Gently wipe off the softened sealant with a plastic scraper or putty knife. Work at a slight angle to avoid scratching the pallet.
6. Repeat: If necessary, repeat steps 3-5 to remove all sealant.
7. Degrease the surface: Use a degreasing agent to clean the tray of solvent and sealant residues.
8. Check and Rinse: Check to see that all sealant has been removed, then rinse the pan thoroughly with water or solvent.
Adviсe:
*Use a soft scraper or spatula to avoid scratching the tray.
* Avoid using metal tools as they may damage the surface.
*If the sealant is very thick or dried, it may take longer to soften.
*Be patient and take the time to clean to ensure the pan is sealed properly.
