Using diagnostic software:
1. Connect a diagnostic scanner or computer with BMW software to the vehicle’s diagnostic socket (usually located under the steering wheel or in the armrest).
2. Launch the diagnostic software.
3. Go to the “Transmission” or “Automatic Transmission” section.
4. Select Temperature or Transmission Information.
Using the vehicle’s multimedia system (select models only):
1. Start the car engine.
2. Click the Menu or Settings button on the media panel.
3. Scroll down and select “Ride” or “Service”.
4. Select “Vehicle Information” or similar.
5. Scroll down and find “Automatic Transmission Fluid Temperature” or “Transmission Oil Temperature”.
Note: Availability of automatic transmission temperature information may vary depending on the model and year of the vehicle.
