Checking the automatic transmission oil level in Hyundai Solaris 2017

Required tools:

* Funnel for filling oil
* Cloth or paper towels

Instructions:

1. Warm up the engine and transmission: Drive the vehicle for about 10 minutes until the oil reaches operating temperature.
2. Place the vehicle on a level surface: Place the vehicle on a level surface to accurately measure the oil level.
3. Stop the engine: Turn off the engine.
4. Check the dipstick: Find the automatic transmission oil level dipstick; it is usually located on the opposite side of the engine. Remove the dipstick and wipe it dry with a cloth or paper towel.
5. Reinsert the dipstick: Insert the dipstick back into the hole and remove it again.
6. Check the oil level: The dipstick has “HOT” and “COLD” marks. The oil level should be between these marks for a hot engine.
7. Add oil as needed: If the oil level is below the “HOT” line, add automatic transmission fluid through the fill funnel. Do not overfill the oil!
8. Check the oil level again: Repeat steps 4 through 6 to ensure the oil level is correct.
9. Reassemble everything: Place the dipstick back into the hole, close the hood and discard the used materials.

Notes:

* Check the automatic transmission oil level regularly, approximately every 6 months or 10,000 km.
*Only use the automatic transmission fluid recommended in your vehicle’s owner’s manual.
* If you find a significant leak or low oil level, take it to your dealership for inspection and repair.
