Materials:
* Clean rag
Instructions:
1. Warm up the engine: Start the engine and let it idle for about 10 minutes to warm up the transmission fluid.
2. Place the vehicle on a level surface: Place the vehicle on a level surface to ensure accurate fluid level measurement.
3. Locate the oil dipstick: The dipstick is usually located on the front side of the transmission near the engine. It has a yellow handle and is marked «ATF» (transmission fluid).
4. Remove and wipe the dipstick: Pull out the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.
5. Reinsert the dipstick: Insert the dipstick back into the hole until it stops.
6. Remove the dipstick to check the level: Remove the dipstick again and check the fluid level.
7. Read the level marks: The dipstick should be marked with two level marks: minimum (MIN) and maximum (MAX).
8. Check the fluid level: The fluid level should be between the two marks MIN and MAX. If the level is below the MIN mark, you need to add fluid.
9. Add fluid (if necessary): Open the oil filler cap and add transmission fluid until the level reaches the MAX mark.
10. Check the level again: Insert and remove the dipstick again to make sure the fluid level is correct.
