Requirements:
* ELM 327 scanner (version 1.5 and higher recommended)
* Car with automatic transmission
* Scanning software (such as Torque Pro)
Instructions:
1. Connect the ELM 327 scanner to the vehicle’s OBD-II diagnostic connector.
2. Install and launch the scanning program on your smartphone or tablet.
3. In the main menu of the program, select the “Diagnostics” or “Options” section.
4. Find the parameter “Transmission oil temperature” or “Automatic transmission temperature”.
5. Depending on the program you are using, the temperature value may be displayed in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
Notes:
*Temperature reading accuracy may vary depending on vehicle model and scanner used.
*Optimal automatic transmission temperature is usually around 80-90°C (176-194°F).
*If transmission temperatures significantly exceed this range, transmission diagnostics and service may be required.
* Not all car models support reading automatic transmission temperatures using an ELM scanner.
