Materials:
* New automatic transmission light bulb
* Screwdriver (if required)
Instructions:
1. Turn off the power to the car:
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the panel around the automatic transmission selector:
*For most Toyota models, you will need to pull the bottom edge of the panel and pry it up to release the clips.
*Some models may require you to remove several screws using a screwdriver.
3. Find the automatic transmission light bulb:
* It is usually located on the underside of the panel around the automatic transmission selector.
4. Disconnect the connector:
*Press the connector latch and pull it gently to disconnect the connector from the light bulb.
5. Remove the old light bulb:
* Push the sides of the bulb and turn it counterclockwise to remove it.
6. Install a new light bulb:
* Insert the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise to secure it into place.
7. Connect the connector:
* Align the connector with the contacts on the light bulb and press it until you hear a click.
8. Reinstall the panel around the automatic transmission selector:
* Align the panel with the clips or screws and secure it.
9. Connect the battery:
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
Adviсe:
*Use the same type and size of bulb as the original one.
*If you have difficulty removing the bulb, use a thin tool such as long nose pliers.
* Be careful not to damage the panel or wires.
