Materials:

* New T10 bulb with W5W socket
* Small flathead screwdriver
* Scissors or pliers (optional)

Instructions:

1. Park the car and remove the keys.

2. Find the automatic transmission control panel. It is usually located on the center console or dashboard.

3. Carefully pry up the front panel. Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pull the panel up and release it from the latches.

4. Remove the automatic transmission illumination connector. Press the connector lock and disconnect it from the backlight bulb.

5. Remove the burnt out light bulb. Gently pull the bulb straight out of the socket.

For modified panels:

If the faceplate is modified, you may need to:

* Cut off the plastic plugs. Use scissors or pliers to cut off the plastic caps that hide the light bulb.
* Disconnect the wires. Carefully disconnect the wires using pliers or a screwdriver.

6. Install a new light bulb. Insert the new bulb into the socket, making sure it fits correctly.

7. Connect the automatic transmission illumination connector. Press the release tab on the connector to secure it to the light bulb.

8. Replace the bezel. Align the latches on the bezel with the tabs on the transmission control panel and gently push down to lock it in place.

9. Check the automatic transmission illumination. Turn on the headlights and check if the automatic transmission light turns on.

*Make sure the size and type of new bulb matches your vehicle’s requirements.
* Do not touch the glass bulb of a new light bulb with bare hands, as oil stains may shorten its life.
