Required tools:

* 10 mm wrench
* 12 mm wrench

Instructions:

1. Place the vehicle in park (P) and apply the parking brake.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Find the automatic transmission cable.
4. Unscrew the nut securing the cable to the gear shift lever.
5. Pull the cable down or up to adjust its length.
* If the gear shifts too early, shorten the cable.
*If the gear shifts too late, lengthen the cable.
6. Tighten the cable securing nut.
7. Check the adjustment by changing gears and making sure they shift smoothly and at the right time.
8. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
9. Warm up the car to operating temperature and check the adjustment again.

Adviсe:

* Cable adjustment may be necessary after replacing the cable or shift lever.
* Do not overtighten the cable nut.
*If you are unsure of your ability to adjust the cable, consult a qualified mechanic.
