Adaptation of automatic transmission after replacement

After replacing an automatic transmission (automatic transmission), it is necessary to adapt it to work with the car. This helps ensure smooth gear shifting and optimal transmission performance.

Required equipment:

* OBD-II scanner

Adaptation procedure:

1. Reset automatic transmission adaptive values

* Connect the OBD-II scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
* Go to the automatic transmission or transmission menu.
* Select the ‘Reset adaptive values’ option.
* Confirm reset.

2. Dynamic oil pressure test

* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes until it reaches operating temperature.
* Move the gear selector to ‘D’ position and hold it in place.
* Press the accelerator pedal all the way down and hold it for 20 seconds.
* Move the gear selector to ‘N’ position and hold it for 20 seconds.
*Repeat this process for all transfers.

3. Shift training

* Start in ‘D’ position and accelerate at a moderate speed.
* When the engine speed reaches a certain level, shift to a higher gear.
*Repeat this process for all transfers.
* Make shifts smoothly and avoid sudden acceleration or braking.

4. Switch point adaptation

* When driving on the highway, select a gear with cruise control.
* Gradually increase or decrease speed while observing the gear shift point.
*Adjust the shift point using an OBD-II scanner if necessary.

5. Complete adaptation reset

* After completing all adaptation procedures, disconnect the battery for a few minutes.
* Reconnect the battery and start the engine.
* Drive the car normally, avoiding sudden driving for the next 100-200 km.

Note:

* The adaptation procedure may vary depending on the car model and automatic transmission type.
* It is recommended that you seek assistance from a qualified mechanic for proper adaptation.
* If you encounter problems with gear shifting after adaptation, please contact your dealer or service center.
