Required materials:

*Mercedes-Benz Diagnostic Scanner (Star Diagnosis or DAS)
* Oil for automatic transmission Mercedes-Benz
* Mercedes-Benz automatic transmission filter
* Lift (optional)
* Tools for draining and filling oil

Instructions:

1. Preparatory stage:

* Place the car on a lift (if equipped).
* Stop the engine and let it cool.
* Gather the necessary materials.

2. Draining old oil:

* Locate the automatic transmission drain plug at the bottom of the pan.
* Place a container under the drain plug to catch the oil.
* Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil.
* When all the oil has been drained, screw the drain plug back in.

3. Replacing the automatic transmission filter:

* Determine the location of the automatic transmission filter.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan and remove the pan.
* Replace the old automatic transmission filter with a new one.
* Clean the automatic transmission pan from deposits and metal shavings.

4. Installing the automatic transmission pan:

* Apply a thin layer of sealant to the automatic transmission pan gasket.
* Reinstall the automatic transmission pan and tighten the bolts.

5. Filling with new oil:

* Locate the automatic transmission filler plug on the side of the transmission.
* Insert a funnel into the filler plug and fill in new oil.
* Fill the oil in parts and check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick.

6. Automatic transmission adaptation:

* Connect the diagnostic scanner to the car.
* Select the “Transmission” menu.
* Select “Adaptation”.
* Follow the instructions on the scanner screen to perform automatic transmission adaptation.

7. Completion:

* Check the oil level after adaptation.
* Start the engine and let it idle for 10-15 minutes.
* Shift the gear selector to different positions and return it back to the park position.
* Turn off the engine.

Notes:

* It is recommended to perform automatic transmission adaptation after changing the automatic transmission oil or filter, as well as after repairing the gearbox.
*Make sure the oil and filter meet Mercedes-Benz specifications for your vehicle model.
* If any errors occur during adaptation, contact a qualified mechanic.
