Required materials:

* Scanmatic 2 or similar diagnostic scanner
* Computer with Scanmatik 2 installed

Steps to adapt the automatic transmission:

1. Connect the scanner to the vehicle’s OBD-II diagnostic connector.
2. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
3. Launch the Scanmatik 2 program on your computer.
4. Select the make, model and year of your vehicle.
5. In the diagnostic menu, go to the “Transmission” section.
6. Select the “Automatic transmission adaptation” option.
7. The program will display a list of adaptations that need to be performed:

* Throttle adaptation
* Idle speed adaptation
* Adaptation of brake pedal position
* Gear adaptation
* Torque converter adaptation

8. Click the “Perform Adaptation” button for each of the adaptations.
9. The scanner will perform the necessary adaptation procedures.
10. After all adaptations have been completed, the system will request a reset of the transmission control unit counters. Click “Yes” to reset.

Completion:

* Turn off the ignition.
*Wait 10 seconds.
* Start the engine and shift the gear selector to all positions.

Notes:

*This procedure applies to Hyundai Solaris with 4-speed automatic transmission.
* It is recommended to perform automatic transmission adaptation after replacing the gearbox, repairing the torque converter or resetting the engine management system.
* If errors occur during adaptation, contact a specialist.
* Before starting work, read the vehicle operating instructions.
